Robbie continues to seem anxious and concerned about the transitions.

He takes pride in knowing his math facts, does well on quizzes, and enjoys playing math games. Long division has been difficult for Robbie; he does not consistently remember the sequence of steps required for long division. He has struggled with problem solving, especially when more than 1 operation is needed. Surprisingly, he cannot read a clock. When a new math concept is presented in class, Robbie sometimes looks agitated and squirms in his seat. Other times he is found doodling. He never disturbs anyone else. When the lesson is over and the other students are working independently, Robbie asks for help. Robbie does not turn in all of his math homework. When questioned about this he says, "Sorry, I forgot." Losing

recess has not changed his intermittent pattern of turning in homework.

Science continues to be Robbie's favorite subject. He is very curious and actively participates in science class. Robbie likes science lessons that involve marine animals, plants, and astronomy.

Most of the science classes are hands-on and group work. Robbie is a strong class participant and a valuable member to the science class.

Robbie's next-door neighbor, also a 4th grader, has been his best friend since 1st grade.

Robbie gets along with other students but has few friends. He is a follower, not a leader. He seems to enjoy individual sports (bike riding, swimming) and does not tend to play group sports games at recess. During free time, Robbie chooses computer games or card games with 1 student. He does not join other students when they play board games during free time. Robbie is the class artist and enjoys drawing and painting. He paints all the class posters for bake sales and open house. He is a whiz at taking things apart and putting them back together.

Goal:
At the end of the term the student must be able to achieve, accuracy and independency  in solving Math problems and Long division and retaining new concepts.
He must be able to attain 80% of social interaction with other students.

Objective 1: In Solving Math Problems the student must be able to demonstrate 80% accuracy in solving Math Problem using the 4 operation.

Objective 2: When given a long division equation he must be able to achieve 80%  fluency in solving the equation with given strategies.

Objective 3: In learning New concept and reading a clock the student must be able to develop 70%  confidence in learning new concept and reading a clock.with the given strategies.

Objective 4: With regards to his Social Interaction, the student must be able to achieve 80% conversation and interaction with other students during small group and interaction time.

Strategies 1: In solving Problem, he will be given step by step instruction and examples to solve the problem. Flashcards and different Manipulatives should be used to solve long division problem.

Strategies 2. Instruction must be simplified and use prompt until the student learn the new concept to develop confidence. Use new math vocabulary concept at the beginning of the class. He must be asked to check for  comprehension.

Strategies 3; Use realistic example like his everyday routine and ask when does he do it while reading the clock.

Strategies 4. In social interaction, the student must be involved in participating in group discussion.and group work  especially in Science class wherein they could talk with each other.  Involve him in group sports and make him the leader in the small group.

Strength and weaknesses:

Robbie has an average to moderate inclination for Science Concepts

He is a high average in participating in class activities like arts, drawing and painting.

He is  below average in Numeracy involving Math problems, Long division and learning New Concepts.
